5 Ingredient Protein Bars

These little raw protein packed bars are ideal for an energy boost during the day or a post-workout snack.

They are so simple to make and the best part, they only contain x5 ingredients. If you miss out the coconut then its even easier (however they do taste lovely with the coconut).

They are very soft and squidgy so we would recommend using parchment paper so they dont stick to the surface of your dish.

  • Yields: 12 Bite Size


1 cup Dates

1 cup Cashews

1 cup Dried Fruit

3 tsp Peanut Butter

1/3 cup Dessicated Coconut


1Soak the pitted dates in water for ten minutes then drain the water.

2Place the dates, cashews, dried fruit and peanut butter into a food processor and pulse for a few minutes until the mixture is combined.

3Place mixture into a dish lined with parchment paper (approx 20 x 12 cm)

4Sprinkle the coconut on top and lightly press into the mixture with your fingertips.

5Refrigerate for atlas one hour.

6After refrigeration, carefully take it out the dish using the parchment paper and chop into bars.

7Store in the fridge and enjoy as a snack or post workout treat
